ok so NONE of the 3870x2 boards support the software voltage increase? can anyone confirm this? or is there someone who successfully softmodded the voltage increase? :)

i need a PLL VCO divider bug free bioses, since the bioses on my card have it...can someone please post a guide and a right bios files to do this...thanks

owning x1800xt, then gx2, and now x1900xt i guess i can put in my input...to make the long story short, gx2 had amazing framerates, but when i switched back to ati i felt like i have bouhgt a new monitor...the IQ is so much better...also the tv out on my phillips with hdmi input looked all buggy...

yes its because they are supported oficially...i have tried with 2 x1800xt modded to xl but still with xt latencies and clocks, but somehow the cards would not synchronize and i would always get tearing...only superAA 8x-14x worked correctly

well that driver does not support it, so if they are saying they are ready w/o implementation of crossfire, i can only conclude that they will not support it :P

no it wont...at least not for crossfire...changing 7100 to 7109 and XT to XL does nothing because the driver still reports the old values...it must be somewhere else it can be changed...the only way to do it is the way i did it...flash x1800xl bios then see if u get crossfire tab non-grayed...

u mean changing 7100 to 7109 will work? i tried that and ended up with no video out on the card, but i guess ill give it another shot :P

i used x1800xl 512 bios by MSI, but i compared it to sapphire x1800gto2 512mb and they are identical so either one will work :) then u have to copy over the xt timings with rabit 2.1 bios editor, and set clocks to 600/700 (thats what i have it at) @ 1.3 volts...then i use ati tool to get...

impossible to run 2 x1800xt but what you can do if you think u can pull it off is flash to xl bios then manually edit to xt speeds/latencys...this is dangerous as u can flash your card badly, and you will void warranty, but if you flashed bioses on vga cards before maybe you can give it a...

they run nicely both at 730/820 and its plenty for almost all the games...i was just hoping for a nice double performance :P

yeah...its nice IQ but i would like to be able to do AFR too without it crapping out on me :)

no overclocking atm...it is just somehow impossible to get vsync to work when both cards are in any modes besides 8x-14x AA which then there is no improvement in speed, just visual quality...the vsync option works then...i will try to crank the aa and af all the way see if that changes things :)
