Need recommendation for good reliable hdd

Western Digital all the way. Ive had 2 640GB Blue Edition drives that went over 20k hours with not one fault or error. I currently have a 1TB Blue and 2TB Green both no issues. The first seagate 1.5TB drive ive brought new started having errors after 1 month started making odd noises after 6...

Thats very true, some things are quite decent prices, but some things are completely OTT

They are $187.88 for retail box, No urs wont, you need a mb with a AMD SB750 or 710 southbridge, yours is SB600. I unlocked mine with a cheap Gigabyte-MA785GM-US2H mb was only like $160

If any1 is interested, Playtech has AMD Phenom II X2 550 with batch no 0924EPMW which have 4/5 chance of unlocking to quad core, I have emailed them and thats all they have. Just got 1 yesterday, unlocked to quad and runs well unvolted to 1.25V

E5200 4Ghz, Do you think my budget build can do it?

It posted from completely off no problem at 1.55V bios, i upped it up to 1.6V through Gigacraps Easytune program, the only time i have problems is posting from cold boot at over 3.8ghz. I have a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme with just a 1200rpm 12cm on it, 1200rpm 12cm at the back of the case...

Yeap load voltage and temp, idle was about 40 and 1.58V, bios was set at 1.6V

E5200 4Ghz, Do you think my budget build can do it?

Yeap tryed that, still 3.9ghz needs 1.55V+ and im not even sure how long that would stay stable, not really worth putting in that much extra volts for 100mhz, I was impressed with the temps though, even while running 1.55V load it was under 64 degrees

E5200 4Ghz, Do you think my budget build can do it?

No i havent tryed it yet but i will do, thanks for the tip 3.6ghz is a walk in the park for most if not all the E5200's but unless you get a really good chip its difficult to push it to 4ghz+

E5200 4Ghz, Do you think my budget build can do it?

When i upgraded from AMD to a E5200 i expected it to run at 4ghz, and i was dissapointed badly, 3.7-3.8 is a more reasonable target. What Gigabyte mb did you get?, cause if you got the one i got (EP43-DS3) you will probably hate it as much as i do.

    AMD x2 5000+

Might need more voltage for that speed, but then it would probably fail due to high temps, If you lower the mutli to 12@ same settings will it pass p95?

    AMD x2 5000+

Well done, how much are you willing to spend for a cooler?

    AMD x2 5000+

Your right it is actually a pretty good overclock for the voltage you have it running it at, i had to push 1.46V to get 3.2 and 1.42V to get 3ghz. Upping NB voltage may help, did you get any more fsb from increasing the voltage from normal to +0.1V? ,If you did then theres a good chance that...

    AMD x2 5000+

sounds like a mb limit, not a cpu one, I havent come across a brisbane with a fsb wall that low , it is possile but unlikely, all my previous X2's(4000,4200 and 5600) all ran past 320 FSb

    AMD x2 5000+

Some people believe that if you add 20 degrees it will be the right temp, i have also heard about its CPU temp+room temp. I dont think i would trust any of it, if a cpu is too hot it will error in orthos. So when i had one, i clocked it to a speed that i knew was stable(like 3ghz), then just...
