The BIOS was reading the temps wrong. I updated the BIOS to latest version and it's running at 26C idle now. Thanks everyone though.

I tried again with just a rice size spot on the CPU and squeegeed into the heat pipes and with 2 fans in push/pull its at 41C idle.

@unclewebb But my other computer that has the stock 2500k cooler on it idles at 32C. @SonDa5 I haven't even booted into OS yet with it because the temps are so high at idle.

Alright so I can't boot into my SSD, but when I boot into Linux Mint I can access my SSD files just fine. Now, how do I run the Linux Mint variant of Check Disk to try and repair any errors on with the SSD?

I've been at this for about 20 minutes and have gotten nowhere. I've have disconnected and disabled devices clicked. I've installed the latest drivers. I'm going through a Realtek on board chip. Hooked up via HD audio. What else is there to do to get it up?
