    Dell XPS 600 Startup Problem

Done some research and it looks like the fan that is making all the fuss is the "PCI card shroud and fan" (http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xps600/en/sm/techov0.htm) What would you recommend the next course of action to be, for getting it fixed?

    Dell XPS 600 Startup Problem

So I take it that the bottom right black unit in picture 1 is my PSU (photo 2 is the close up of this). When I turn it on this fan goes crazy and pushes the air outwards. You think I will need to replace the PSU?

    Dell XPS 600 Startup Problem

Hi all, I'm back and still rocking the Dell XPS 600. In the past you guys have helped me in getting a new graphics card which helped me tremendously (http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107525). But unfortunately it looks like my system may have died. Ok for about a...

    Upgrading Dell XPS 600

Ok thanks guys. I think whilst I will look around for a reasonable gaming rig I might go for the quick fix and bump up my RAM. I'm not sure how many slots for the RAM my XPS 600 can hold. Doing a quick amazon search I came up with this one...

    Upgrading Dell XPS 600

Ok, it may be time to move on. Any recommended sites (UK) that would build a gaming rig for a reasonable price?

    Upgrading Dell XPS 600

Hi all, Well I've had my Dell XPS 600 for quite a while now (2006!) and it's been very good to me so far. Only problem I had/have to some extent was the power supply which was replaced. I'm not going to abandon my baby and shell out £2000 for a new PC. I would like your expert advice in...

Looking for a Nvidia GeForce Card (650W)

Ok managed to open up my Dell XPS, found the 6800 graphics card, pulled it out and put in my GTS 250 (wow it feels heavy)...and then for a few moments my heart stopped as I didn't see the 6-pin connector come out of the 6800! I though damn I don't have it...but I looked through the tangle of...

Looking for a Nvidia GeForce Card (650W)

Yeah I know, I had a look at that deal, but dealt with Amzon before, they usually deliver it on time. Paid a few quid extra for peace of mind.

Looking for a Nvidia GeForce Card (650W)

MKmods Thanks for this, didn't know about the 6 pin and 8 pin versions. Looks like the BFG is the 6 pin (hopefully it is and my Dell insides has the connection and space for it). I will use that install guide when I get the card. I do have a 40" Samsung (Wii, PS2...yes PS2  Love...

Looking for a Nvidia GeForce Card (650W)

Thanks all for the great feedback. I will probably get a GTS 250. Got a few questions I hope you can help me guys: 1) BFG a good make? Compared to Zotac, Palit etc? 2) I noticed the BFG is overclocked...I've read that overclocking may damage your card...is it safe for BFG to do this? 3)...
