I bought a msi Armor 1070 on launch day, just didn't bother updating specs yet because of the cpu change to come. I have been trying quicksync and it makes all the difference, like I wasn't even recording, so for now guess I will hold and see what zen looks like and then probably bother you guys...

I only have 8gb at the moment and I hit about 6gb most of the time while playing. About 7,5 gb when also streaming, tough my fps do tank a lot. I was comparing to 2400mhz memory, 3200 memory goes for the same price, but the latency is indeed lower, so maybe the better choice?

The ram I was thinking about is: G.SKILL Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-3600MHz 17-18-18-38-2N. Would that be enough and good ram? It goes for 150€ where I usually buy, and 2400 ram goes for 130€. Also made a few simulations from my usual shop and I got this: 6700k mobo and ram 700€. 5820k combo...

I see, I have looked at both those cpus. It is my understanding that 6800 is faster multicore but 6700k is faster ST, is that right? What I really know nothing about is the xeon cpus and if any of them might be worth considering . I think I would be more inclined to go for 6800 between those...

I have read ton of reviews, but most reviewers test with very high details and the same 10 demanding games. For those 1070 seems short for 4k. However I mostly play Heroes of the storm, Overwatch and indie games. Haven't been able to find any 4k test for these.

So, you think 1440p is better suited for gtx 1070 than a 4k? Was hoping to make the jump to 4k. I have no complaints on the CPU so far, but given the massive upgrade to the GPU, was worried it would bottleneck it.
