Two OEM licence keys (different Windows versions) on one PC

Hi, thanks for the informative replies. I missed the boat on the free Win 10 upgrade but I've heard that you only get 30 days grace period before it stays Win 10 and you cannot go back. I've dual booted Oses before (Win98 and XP, Win 7 and Win 10) without activation so I'm familiar with the...

Two OEM licence keys (different Windows versions) on one PC

Hello, I'm in the process of building another PC and I want to know if it's possible for two versions of Windows to reside next to each other legitimately. I would have windows 7 and 10 as a dual-boot system. So if I buy OEM keys and activate them would one de-activate the other? I know that...

Which is the best Remote control for Fan switch ON/OFF (atleast 4 Fans)

Not sure that that would work as it's for AC and you want to switch on/off 12VDC at most

Which is the best Remote control for Fan switch ON/OFF (atleast 4 Fans)

Do you mean a remote switch on your desk (i.e. with wires) to control your fans?

Stripped screw on Samsung ATIV 8 HDD enclosure - need advice!

As has been said, the white/grey wire isn't soldered on, but be careful not to damage the little plug when you pull it out. Also you can use jewellers' screwdrivers (flatheads) on that screw. I've done so on many stripped heads before. Failing that, and if you're feeling desperate, cut a notch...

help with a printer that burns wood instead of using ink. Possible?

i think a CNC apparatus is what you're after. have a look at this page for ideas: http://www.instructables.com/tag/type-id/?sort=none&q=homemade+cnc you'd need to substitute the milling tip for a laser burner or something.

    Silverstone TJ07 Case

You mean the side that doesn't have the window (i.e. the mobo side)? I own one and can confirm that there's no space between the panel and the mobo because there's a partition that separates the top and bottom which includes a channel for removing the mobo tray. What i did was cut into this...

Will a DVI to HDMI adapter work on a monitor?

here are his options: buy a DVI-D to DVI-D cable or buy a DVI-D to HDMI cable (i use one of these). DVI-D and HDMI are basically the same. a quick google does yield results for a VGA to HDMI cable but it won't work as VGA is analogue and HDMI is purely digital.

    Waterblock Compatibility with Backplate

Hi, I've read the same thing in another forum and the workaround was to use slightly longer screws. I'm not sure what the "brushed aluminium faceplate" is, but I don't think it'll be in contact with any fluids. I'll be using Feser One coolant in any case.
