A 550W PSU is not enough to Crossfire most of those cards. I'm sure you could Crossfire 5770s on it with your 44amps on the 12v rail, but officially ATi recommends at least 600 watts. Crossfire 5830 will beat a single 5870 the majority of the time, but your current PSU cannot handle it...
