    4850 AA/AF problem

Ok heres my problem whenever I enable AF/AA in the CCC it does not seem to make any difference, ie my games are still rendered without AA/AF. However if I enable AA/AF in the game's settings/options then the game will be rendered with AA/AF. The problem is that not all games allow you to enable...

    Which res/settings to bench at?

I haven't seen a 20" that supports 1440x900 as far as I know thats for 17"w-19w" and 20w" is for 1680x1050. If there are 20" screens that support 1440x900 then the image quality must be shocking. But I agree definitely test 1680, and 1920.

    I think i have fried my x1950pro

I have come across a similar problem, where the screen would go to a black screen and then back to the game and so it went on black/game/black/game sometimes the black screens would last for 15s and it would only go back to the game for 1s -sometimes minutes - before going back to the black...

    I think i have fried my x1950pro

Let me get this straight when you playing EVE your monitor will constantly go to a black screen for 5s and then back to the game for a certain amount of time then back to a black screen? Does this happen in any other game or just EVE?

    HD4850 Vs. 9800GTX w/AA, review inside .

    Average FPS without AA. With AA the 4850 out paces the 9800GTX with a larger margin. HD 4850 = 70.5 HD 3870 = 53.5 9800GTX = 69.7 GTX 260 = 80.2 GTX 280 = 95.1

    4870 Benchmarks

Am not arguing that they weren`t cherry picked but its highly unlikely that the cards performance will be significantly lower than that of a broad selection of test provided that the tests are legit(which we still don`t know). Techpowerup uses both Farcry and Quake 4 in their benchmarks, I'm...

    4870 Benchmarks

While your being an idiot why don`t you compare a 280GTX to a yet to be released in 5 years years ATI card. You see the problem the card doesn`t exist yet hello... So you can`t compare them. Its like obvious why they can`t compare it to the nVidia card, in case you still don`t know its because...

    4870 Benchmarks

Those old games are still used in almost every benchmark, so its VALID to use them. Furthermore I fail to see how the age of those games can drastically influence the percentile difference of hardware. And like I said in the other post the optimized argument can be played out from both sides...

    4870 Benchmarks

I know that why I said when. ATI has made huge strides in the OpenGL performance. One can have the same it was optimized for nVidia argument with their benchmarks and it will more likely to be true, seeing has how the number of games that has the "The way its meant to be played" logo FAR out...
