Modular design to change parts. N64 had a ram cartridge. Maybe have cpu and gpu catridges that can be changed. Pcie 6 won't matter as the current 5 could carry to pcie7 or even 8 before switching to it via a new motherboard...

put more dev's on that starwars outlaws game they are making. or do something different with the tech like a mad max game or something sci-fi similar to cyberpunk or fantasy with magic or a totally new ip :D

Remember all those problems when the 3080/3090 came out and they had issues with overheating, bad back of gpu voltage controllers being too cheap from some manufacturers etc. This is highlighting that problem again, not everyone experienced it because they haven't pushed their cards as hard...

what a shit show, gg nvidia. just couldn't stick with pci-e connectors or having a bigger connector and wires so the 30 reconnect limit wouldn't exist and the fires too.

problem is, they made the cables too small and the connectors (probably why its 30 uses). should be a higher gauge and the connector should be bigger. The designer of this connector thought hey more 12v wires will divide the power and make it safe... nvidia comes along lets go more power 600w...

thats fine if motherboards get pci-e v5. gpu's don't need to pay a premium for a standard they don't even come close to in terms of bandwidth usage. The real reason for pci-e v5 is going to be storage speed in m.2 ssd sticks and to have more channels open as well. I'm waiting for a cable...

before the last drop, prices were high for cards. crypto dropped hard and came back and the prices are even worse with the chip shortage. I don't think this drop will be long lived and i don't think the prices will change much as long as the chip shortage is around. this is just pushing news(?)...

seems like motherboard prices got quite a bit higher...

doesn't matter if they are caught, the fine compared to what they actually made during that time is a blip.. they will do it again, just figure out how they got caught and patch the leak..

This should not exist... enclosures do this and you can usb it to a router. It should have a min 2 slot, most of the time people buy these for backups and protected storage like raids - mirror etc.

more cards need to be purple, reminds me of the good old ati days
