Aren't 5870 dropping too?

I would get it but reference are out of stock. All are with the fan in the midle of the card :( I have asus, club 3d, force3d, msi reference ones. Asus and MSI got 36 months warranty. XFX only 24months. I would definately take xfx, but I mentioned why I can't, it is out of stock.

Then if you want try bumping it to 1000core, maybe you'll help me out there :laugh::toast:

I do not have it already. There is every heatsink which needs to be on the card included. VRM and PWM heatsinks. Remember asus is reference card and I can increase the voltages, and stock cooling :confused: do not know if it could handle it. Btw all says its an airplain engine on full RMP's...

After a good surfing over the net I made another stuff to choose. I would take asus reference card 5850, no OC out of the box, anything, and I throw on it ZALMAN VF3000A. Same noise as on DIRECTCU cooler, and prob better performance - less temps. I know it uses 3 slots but I won't go for...

So the xfx XXX edition with fan in the right, with amd logo on pci-e connectors and black PCB is 100% a reference design , am I right ? :)

One more strange thing. When I try to launch hd tune pro I get BSOD. Strange things . What could be that ? *** Solved. Turned on ahci on registry and then in bios. Windows7 automaticaly found drivers and instaled them, after restart AHCI and hd tune works perfectly.

Thanks for help. I solved these things except with AHCI. Before it didnt load too. Now I explore how to instal the drivers of AFCI controler. :toast:

As I have understood it does not support IDE more. I tried it running it on IDE never booted up... whats ahci for then ?

Im trying now. It shows. And I need to know what mode to use AHCI or RAID one ?

Here it is. I tryied something in raid configuration utility and this is what i get now: Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter. What happened here ? I pray it won't be dead. A new copy of OS will help me ? ***And AHCI or RAID mode is better for one hdd ?

want to see what it can do. so those chips and ram sticks work fully together , or you can do anything you want on every one of them?
