...hmm take ur ambient....add 14-15C to it...and with a GOOD air cooling settup that should give about what ur cpu temp at load should be in my experience. so i'm guessing ur ambient is around 36 for a 51 load temp? if ambient is less than that then u should be able to gain more by rethinking...

i guess comparing single to dual depends what ur doing on ur machine as well as everything else hardware related. as far as gaming goes i doubt it matters and maximum cpu speed single or dual is probably what benefits most.i didnt read through this whole thread so maybe i'm just repeating but...

well the work is done by the heatsink and air. unless the heat is removed from the sink then its not doing anything....so, you could remove the heat from the sink actually by putting a nice 120 on the side directly over it with no fan on the sink itself...thats what im doing actually and it...

well, maybe so, but in two years the cards will run mark6 at 30000. i think its an accurate indicator of power. the real spoof imo is the game software itself. im pretty sure they could write code that didnt need all that power. being forced to upgrade a card just to play a new game well pisses...

from my experience u can fry a psu by having too much exaust..it renders the psu flow stagnant or reversed. positive pressure and massive airflow work best on hot machines imo.

i would say yes that the psu could be an issue becoz the rating on a cheapy power supply isnt a legit rating..its prolly closer to 200 actual watts. also ur symptoms sound highly like it could be a bios settup issue with timings...ie: over/under clocked whether intentional or not or some other...
