If the 5080 Super is really just a power limit OC+24GB, it's yet another generation of disappointing super cards from Nvidia.
Would really like to upgrade from my 6800XT, but Nvidia and AMD aren't making it easy. Not going to upgrade until I can get ~2x the performance for ~$700.
No marketing department? Not sure if you realize how ridiculous what you just typed was.
There are all sorts of mediocre products that are successful almost entirely because of their marketing. Look at all the terrible/mediocre youtube sponsored products like FÜM, Airup, Raycon. Apple products...
Feels like there are 2 too many of these games, and that 2 & 3 could have been easily accomplished by DLC, like Planet Zoo has been doing for the past 7 years.
It's also ridiculous that they're gatekeeping 5 dinosaurs behind the Deluxe edition.
Survival games without procedural generation are extraordinarily uninteresting to me, personally. Exploration is typically the only good part of these games(IMO), because the AI is, almost without fail, bordering on terrible and almost without fail, extremely simple. Granted, I didn't play...
Changing the bus requires actual engineering and changes to the design and physical chip. The 9060XT required practically no R&D because it's just a 50% Navi 48. It's clear RDNA 4.0 hardware is a minimum effort hardware stopgap between RDNA & UDNA.
I'm sure they could've made a proprietary cable that hides it, but that would increase costs significantly. This is basically a Keychron Q11, but a cheaper plastic version(that will probably be more expensive) with HE switches. Keychron dropped the Q11 with the Q Pro & Q Max. I assume it didn't...
How much more does a PCIE 16x interface cost verses a 8x? They probably decided it wasn't worth the cost and decided to eliminate any potential issues by keeping the same x16 connection. No need for AIB's to time redesigning boards from 9070's. Reduce cooling mass and VRM's and they already have...
Sounds like the main issue is the lack of scaling compared to Nvidia's offering. There's definitely room for the price of the actual product to go down. ~$15k per MI325X. The profit margin on each accelerator is probably something ridiculous like 500-1000%, so even if there is little interest...
Went pretty well for them in Q1. Beat estimates by almost 5%. Might be the one time we see AMD stock not dip by 10% on an earnings call in the last few years.
You can't disagree with a performance analysis done by Digital Foundry. It's an objective fact that the game stutters often in its current state. You can disagree that it's a big deal, which I assume is what you meant to convey?
Don't understand the large desire to see a Fallout 3 Remaster...
I guess this is neat for.. professional overclockers?
I personally think someone needs to tell Asrock to calm down with the Taichi Intel boards(4), especially considering the current... not so appealing 1-socket generation lineup. 4 flagship Intel Taichi's is 2 too many.
Not sure why they went...
I wouldn't call it garbage, but it's certainly early access. You need to go into a game in early access with the expectation that there will be large changes and very-broken things. That's the nature of early access games. I typically try avoid early access, but I've already enjoyed more than 80...
Incoherent statement. Thanks for confirming that there's not really a point to engaging with you on this topic any longer. All countries have domestic protection tariffs on goods they specialize in. I suggest you do some extremely basic reading on economics and trade.
