Sent my hdd for data recovery, after 3 months of no contact with the store i got back my hdd. They claim to have recovered the data but when i browse my HDD it shows space used but no files inside. I have checked for hidden files but nothing. Wondering if anyone can help with this.

Just want to update everyone. I will be testing my motherboard with a different set of RAM Kit (friends one) . I did testing as some people suggested in this thread. I tested 2 RAM sticks at a time... and when paired with 1 specific stick the computer will not boot, the motherboard does not...

I just recently upgraded my pc. Oddly enough windows and bios is only detecting 24GB out of 32GB A few things to note. I have updated bios to latest version available Motherboard : MSI x299 gaming pro carbon ac Bios has been reset. Ram : GSKILL 3300mhz but runs at stock as XMP not enabled.

I always believe that not overclocking increases the CPU longevity because of less heat and stress. But thats just my opinion :|

Hey doods. Would like your opinion on what this motherboard and cpu is worth. Honest prices pls. i7 3930k - $100 ? Asus P9x79 Pro - $ ?? Both items are in mint condition, CPU never oced before.

TBH your advice is really good. I did alot of number crunching and just gave in to the 7900x. The 6950x is definitely better value... but i could not find any reliable local retailers selling that and the x99 boards. I have already placed an order for a 7900x :\

This is the part i don't understand about how many PCIE lanes i need or if it will be enough. I plan to run 2 M2-nvme drives and i will transfer 6 drives ( 3 sata ssd + 3 sata hdd ) from my current machine to this build. I might plan to get a 10GB nic and a sound card. Will only have 1 GPU...

Regarding the drivers, i was actually referring to the chipset/motherboard bios itself... Do you think Intel will counter ?

How are amd drivers ? Last time i had experienced them it wasn't a good one.
