Really seems like the laziest possible route to porting the game from PlayStation to PC was employed, system requirements be damned. It'd be cheaper for most people to buy a PS5 than to upgrade their PC to run this well. Quite a bit of a coincidence there, if you ask me.
Sony shuttered Zipper Interactive over 10 years ago, who made the SOCOM games as well as Massive Action Game, a Battlefield competitor for PS3. It seems that at the time they were content with the Playstation being a platform for Call of Duty & Battlefield with no exclusive competition.
nVidia has performed very well for shareholders. They have done so in part by convincing consumers (us) to spend more & more for new gaming GPU's. Unless your income was already high, with plenty of disposable income, or it has increased at substantially more than the rate of simple inflation...
I certainly do
I certainly don't see the appeal of this product at this price point, and have run aio's in several builds as well as custom loops, but pump noise is always a factor with water cooling. The point of water cooling is about performance & it certainly has superior performance at...
Yeah, interesting but for the price all things considered it just doesn't have enough surface area. Dual 360mm or 420mm radiators would be much more compelling. Seems like an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm at $125 is a bargain, even if you have to mount the radiator externally. You'd also be...
I'd imagine that most people in North America are running their PC's on a 15 amp circuit, which 1900 watts exceeds the capacity of all by itself since it has a maximum of 1800 watts, and it is supposed to be a constant load of only 80%, or 1440 watts.
ETA: This also doesn't account for any...
nVidia does this constantly, and if you're not familiar with the Asian market, all of Intel, AMD, & nVidia have different SKU's there to sell off even more oddly cut-down parts.
Listed $630 US Dollars. The standard distro plate without screen is $450, which seems just crazy expensive to me. Add the screen for another $180 when you can get likely the same LCD & a driver board from AliExpress for $30.
The 8800 Ultra was a thing, but it did not sell the way high-end GPU's sell today. I'm trying to remember what GPU I had between my MX 440 & 8800 GT, but for the life of me I can't right now, I do remember that there was no real consideration of buying the original nVidia 8000 series & the 8800...
This isn't accurate as there is also local sales tax. In GA total sales tax is typically 8%, in TN it is 10%.
On the EU list, obviously it excludes Switzerland as they are not a member. Their VAT/sales tax is only 7.7%.
As we see with the US government looking to mandate your car spying on you in case you might be driving in an impaired state, as well as looking to study the feasibility of a per mile tax, this will largely be driven by government mandate and not consumer demand. The government will mandate all...
