    Green Screen and System Lock-ups

It's a EVGA Supernova 550 G2, modular 80 plus gold. P/N 220-G2-0550-Y1. Let me know if that's helpful, thanks for your help!

    Green Screen and System Lock-ups

Yeah I guess that's what I'll do. I'm just wary if it's a software issue RMA'ing will just be a waste of time. PSU is about 3 years old.

Yes sorry, this is the rx580 that I'm experiencing the issues with.

    Green Screen and System Lock-ups

So I've been getting system locks that require a hard restart that I'm fairly certain are related to my video card and its software (in sys specs). I have a dual boot, and on Windows this'll present itself as a blank green screen and on Neon (Ubuntu) it will just be frozen and non-responsive...

    Apt wired/wireless setup advice

I'm not so sure this is the case for me, since as noted in the previous comment my office computer shows a public IP address and my Plex is indeed publicly accessible (which is how it's working at all at the moment). Then again they still could be doing something like what you describe, since it...

    Apt wired/wireless setup advice

This is fiber. Apt complex does have a deal w/ the ISP such that a default plan is packaged into my rent, however this is as I understand it mostly billing in nature. In the closet there are indeed many more CAT5 cables than rooms (almost double really), a single line leading in. I think however...

    Apt wired/wireless setup advice

There is no Apt router that I'm aware of. It's just the switch to the living room router. I suppose I could, would be a bit messy though and probably sub-optimal. Thanks for the specific recommendations and explanations, I'll think around replacing the router w/ basically the 2 devices you...

    Apt wired/wireless setup advice

Thanks for the detailed suggestions! A couple more details here as relevant to what's suggested here: - So the router I currently have was furnished by the ISP, and unfortunately is lacking in even basic features (such as AP mode). - The area where the feed and main switch are is a bit...

    Apt wired/wireless setup advice

So the apartment I'm in feeds internet into a central location and through a switch that then feeds it into multiple rooms in the place. One room is the living room where I have the most need for hardwired things, thus my wireless router is positioned there. But then I also have an office with a...

    [FS][US] i3-6100 + Asus H110M-A

$110 for the combo $90 for i3 alone $50 for H110M-A alone Either piece alone will take a bit longer to ship as I'll need to order a new clamshell container for the proc. With the combo I'll just ship the proc in the mobo socket. My heatware isn't appearing at the moment so...

    Remote app for android

That is the full name other than having pro at the end. Google or the app store should lead you to it. The pro version is awesome.

    Remote app for android

I recently traded in my iphone for an android, and just realized that hippo remote is iphone only. I'm looking for a similar app for android so I can use it as a remote for my htpc. Any suggestions?

    Which SSD?

Well looks like the m4 is the one to beat, I know I won't get the full performance w/ Sata 2 but I'll upgrade eventually and from performance charts it appears either way it'll be considerably faster than the raptor. And quieter. Thanks for the info!

    Which SSD?

It would appear my raptor has finally crapped out on me, forcing me to pursue new booting apparati. I'm essentially looking for some help wading through the seemingly endless options for ssd's. I'm thinking 128gb probably and bang/buck is where I prefer to buy. Currently I was eying the crucial...

    LCD or plasma?

Yeah if you want to use your TV like a computer monitor and leave it on constantly, plasma isn't the way to go. I simply turn mine off when I walk away. Easy enough to do and all but eliminates any chance of burn in.
