Shameless but relevant follow-up.
I did my intended AM5 upgrade and my specs on the left now reflect that.
I can now officially say that Windows 11 is Fine™ with a side of shrug®
CDPR should make Cyberpunk 2078.
Say what you want about the launch - and someone has already said it - but the combined loss of REDengine, their narrative skill and their artistic cohesion in a NightCity-like environment is a harsh blow that this industry won't fully understand until its...
While I empathize being a fellow Canuckistan, I would caution measuring anything in our monopoly money *cough* Canadian dollars.
Consoles are designed to be loss leaders so they can charge their Internet-device + Internet-service purchasing market a 3rd time. Better to measure in USD to get the...
The TPM is the sticking point especially at that generational level. Very easy to have a Sky/Kaby Lake and not have a TPM.
I built the PC in my profile specs in July 2016 using a ROG motherboard released late 2015, and don't have a TPM. "Just upgrade bro" is destroyed when that's a moderate...
Sort of answering the question right there.
Also, ours is not a species that does smart things to the envelope limit because they're smart things.
We do things as quickly and cheaply as possible - as long as lives we care about aren't in danger - for maximum personal gain, until "good enough"...
Thanks for the arrival date clarity but also *shrug* sounds like the cost of doing ownership business.
Since most are willing to pay that cost - as well as buy things twice or three times - I don't mind this stratification in the industry. High speed for renters and and slow speed for owners...

For what it's worth, Nixxes don't miss. I was impressed by them back in Tomb Raider/Deus Ex Human Revolution days and while I was on the fence when Sony bought them, I couldn't be happier with how they're being used.
Their record speaks for itself, and they've spent literally decades making it...
Happy to hear this.
The real world impacts aside, every December I re-subscribe to the Humble Choice Classic plan and find that - some age aside - that its one of the best values in gaming if you're the "wait for it on sale" type.
Despite being built on an anachronistic wallet vacuuming game design, I'm excited to see what becomes of this. The cutscenes look great and if there's some fun to be had, it could always be worth an hour over game pass.
More like they're trying to make as much off of Harley Quinn as possible...
