Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

No luck with reinstall of drivers, so looks like I have to switch cables.

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

It's 5m (around 16ft). Well, The first option (lower length) is out since I need the tv a little farther, and getting another cable of the same length isn't easy (not so many choices available here). The HDMI repeater/booster, I have no idea where to get one (except maybe online). I will try...

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

@cheesy I'm not sure of any other setting other than resolution and refresh rate. And I don't have any other HD-capable things here to check it with. @fordgt Yes it is. @Jetster I'd say that's my last resort. @TC-man I doubt it. @Bumblebee I haven't tried that yet. Maybe it will fix it.

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

The tv came from the US. And the tv is just a few weeks old. 60hz gives me a "Unsupported Signal. Please check the device output" error.

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

Tried to force 60hz card output to tv. 60hz is no good. Same with 59hz. I can use higher hz with 720p and below. Strange.

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

I'm getting choices as low as 480p (720x480) and as high as 1080p (1920x1080). Manual says the tv supports it, and Nvidia Control panel says that 1080p/60hz is the native for the tv. I can do stuff even though its only running at 1080p/24hz but I think the tv can (should) do better.

Need help with using HDTV as monitor @1080p/60hz

At the moment, I'm using my HDTV (Sony KDL40-BX420) as a secondary monitor for my pc. I'm sure that the tv supports 1080p/60hz (checked the specs of the tv), but the tv won't accept anything above 720p at 60hz :banghead:. I think it's the cable (hdmi), but I have no other experience on using a...

    Are we Alone?

I'd say there is definitely life (depending on how we define life) outside our planet. Why? 1. The Earth is just 1 planet. There are at least a few billion other planets (or moons) within this universe. 2. We've haven't even fully explored our own planet (oceans to be exact) so we can't say for...

From 266.xx to 270.61, Dragon Age 2 is now playable at very high for me (before: black triangles running free, messing up my screen)

Chrome is good. Switched to it from Firefox, and enjoying it.

    Needs MOAR games!

Dead Space 2 and any S.T.A.L.K.E.R game. Also the recent Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is good. Also, ARMA games are good, if you want something a little different from regular shooters (especially online)

    Hybrid cooled SR-2 in Level10

Only one word can describe this build: EPIC Me likey the 90 degree connectors and the "flame" ram. THIS is what a Level 10 should look like.

Sparkle Readies Single-Slot GeForce GTX 570 Graphics Card

Quick observation here: I'm just wondering why they didn't put 2 (or more) fans on this card. 2+ slower fans would both help drop temps and lower noise compared to one fan which can be loud at full load, compared to dual-slot solutions.

Are you using an SSD ?

Intel's X25M 80GB for OS (since it came out). Enjoyed quick boot and snappy overall responsiveness ever since. Slightly off topic: What would be better? Upgrade to a faster SSD (get another intel x25m 80gb for raid 0) or wait for GB/$ to go up?
