get a decent pair of studio headphones and mic that sits on your desk.... i've gamed competitively for years and this set-up has always worked well for me. and you dont have to have the headphones on to use the mic.... just my thoughts.

I've used the Nostromo Speedpad products for going 6 years now... Started with the n50, then the n52, now the n52te. I can't play an FPS without it. I may give this one a shot sometime down the road, but my nostromo has been very good to me.
