If it comes out around the same speed and price point as a 5830 then nVidia finally have a card this gen worth considering.

See I can't see it being a faulty board as it's perfectly solid running at 800MHz DC, or 1066MHz single stick. Both with pass as many loops of Prime/IBT/LinX as you throw at it, and will game all day long no problem. It's only when you try to go above 800MHz with two sticks that it throws...

New BIOS out for this shuttle that is meant to fix the DDR3 support issues (not being able to go over 800MHz). Going to give it a try this evening and will report back with results!

From what I can tell the internals are pretty much exactly the same as previous Shuttle chassy that i've used, same drop in drive bay (1x5.25 + 2x3.5), PSU in the same place etc etc. Only difference I can see is that the CPU socket isn't central (like it would be normally on an ICE cooled...

Well finally got round to putting all this together over the weekend. In the end I ended up using an Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 Pro (as I got it free :p ), and it just fits. Like, just, so if you are wondering what is the absolute max height for a cooler in one of these, that is it. Anywho...

You don't have to, you get your settings, then just tell it to apply on windows startup. Just like you would with a GPU overclock. So your system boots at standard clock speeds, then as soon as it gets into windows AOD kicks in and knocks it up to whatever you have chosen. Works a treat :)

They don't have OC'ing bioses, but you can clock the X6 fine using AMD Overdrive on the M4A boards. Had mine up to 4GHz no fuss.

1.475V is the 'Turbo' voltage, so for some reason your CPU is ramping up to Turbo VID even though it's supposedly disabled... If you look at Core #0 on your second pic it has been turbo'd up to 4.1GHz.
