    G530+GTX 460=Bottleneck?

I'm using the G530 CPU and I intend to upgrade the VGA to GTX 460. I've asked for opinions from other forums and they said that it could be a huge bottleneck when combining them. They said that the highest GPU for me is the GTS 450. What do you think? Please show me some suggestions. My full...

Can the chipset G31 fully support Core 2 Quad?

Yeah. But from what I know, that kind of CPU can have that FSB only by overclocking. The mobo support the following FSB by default: 533, 667, 1066 and 1333.

Can the chipset G31 fully support Core 2 Quad?

Like I said, I am using an ASUS P5KPL-AM SE which has the chipset G31. I want to know if this chipset can support this kind of CPU. My old P5GZ-MX could support Core 2 Duo but only at 800 Mhz of FSB max due to the chipset limitation. Thanks for the supports.

Did CPU-z Declare my CPU wrong?

It's mean what you said above was wrong. Right? There were two people who showed me this page but I couldn't see anything that proved my CPU is Pentium Dual Core or Celeron Dual Core. Sorry but I'm dim-witted

Did CPU-z Declare my CPU wrong?

My CPU is Pentium Dual Core E2210 but CPU-z declared it Celeron. Was it wrong or my CPU is a part of Celeron family?http://s151.photobucket.com/albums/s134/Hkcuong/?action=view&current=cpu-z.jpg

Front side bus (800 Mhz or 667 Mhz?)

Some said yes some said no (maybe they only looked at the chipset overview but they did not look at the valid core 2 duo combination with that chipset) then they concluded that it does not support Core 2 Duo CPUs.

Front side bus (800 Mhz or 667 Mhz?)

It is 479mPGA (shown by CPU-Z) and mPGA-479M (by PC Wizard), not only 479 and the ability to upgrade CPU can be seen here http://www.cpu-world.com/Sockets/Socket%20479%20(mPGA479M).html The current CPU which I am using is Core Duo T2250 and it is used for socket M. Will the Core 2 Duo for socket...

Front side bus (800 Mhz or 667 Mhz?)

This is a piece of consultancy I got from a member at notebookforums.com: http://www.notebookforums.com/thread228607.html He said that I can use T7200,T7400 and T7600 to upgrade my current CPU and I can see these CPUs use 479mPGA socket (what he called socket M)

Front side bus (800 Mhz or 667 Mhz?)

Oh, I forgot to tell you that I'm gonna upgrade the CPU for my LAPTOP and the only thing I know is it is using the 945 GM chipset (and perhaps the circuit board of the laptop cannot support the front side bus at 1066 Mhz or 1333 Mhz)

Front side bus (800 Mhz or 667 Mhz?)

Will the front side bus be changed when I upgrade from Core Duo to Core 2 Duo? My CPU is Core Duo 1.73 Ghz 800 Mhz. I have read many documents and they show that there are many but only Core 2 Duo CPUs which have the front side bus at 667 Mhz (but not 800 Mhz) that can be used to upgrade my...

What CPU do you have? Vote!

I forgot the codename but my desktop is using a Pentium 4 2.66GHz, an "antique" since 2004

Core 2 Duo for laptop CQ40-314TU

I have found something about CPU Upgrade on the Intel's Website, the manufacturer of my laptop's chipset (GM45 Chipset). Currently, the CPU which this laptop is using (Dual Core T3400) is NOT in this list: http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=35509 The laptop's chipset also support Core 2...

Core 2 Duo for laptop CQ40-314TU

Yeah! Finally, there is someone answers my question but he didn't mention about the CPU you suggested. He supposed the P series CPUs to be the best choice (in a document of HP there are two CPUs of this series, those are P7450 and P8600 and one CPU of the T series, the T6400 but not the T7600)...
