    Giveaway: Call of Duty Ghosts

Over the recent years I've struggled to get hooked into the CoD series like I did back in MW (CoD4) and MW2. Black Ops 1 and 2 were nice but really didnt capture my attention. Hopefully CoD: Ghosts can get me back into the face paced and big action hits that Activision was once so good at...

First Gaming Rig Around 4k budget

Not to burst your bubble alfredoPC, but $4k is rather huge, and in someways its being spent on what most of us seem to see as a little overkill for your applications. If you want to spend the 4k more "wisely" in the eyes of some of us. Try cut down on the graphics cards (2x 770 or single 780)...

Corsair 800D Water cooled build log

Its a great case, but I think you need more hardware! :P This case looks its best when it has a dual CPU motherboard, and a dual/tri/quad SLI/Crossfire Setup. You've done well, but I still think your hardware really dwarfs the case and makes it looks kinda empty and lonely :( But once again...

    Looking for an SSD

In my opinion, grab either a OCZ Vertex 4 (I'm currently using) or the Samsung 840 Pro/Non-Pro. If you are looking to transfer a lot of games to and from the SSD then look into the Samsung 840 Pro or the Vertex 4, as they have much higher write speeds than the 840 Non-Pro. I can personally vouch...

    [Build Log] Refurb Storm 920

amazing improvement. I used a Storm Scout before I went and got a Corsair 650D. You have done very well for the space that the storm scout gives you and its looks very neat considering what it allows you to do in terms of cable management and space!

PC shuts down randomly when playing games

yeah, definitely look into temperatures. If you believe you have exhausted possible causes due to software, have a look into the temps of your graphics cards and your CPU. If your components are getting to hot your computer will basically do as your described and randomly black screen.

So sad and at a loss

I would take the components out of the case, find a nice big piece of cardboard or wood (non conductive surface) and set up the computer on that, it will allow you to work on the computer much more easily, swap and test, and send us some much clearer photos. It would seem to me that the...

Korean 27" S-IPS vs PLS Monitor?

I'm currently using a Asus PB278Q 2560x1440 PLS Monitor, its basically the same as a IPS panel, and having it sit side to side with my 24" Dell IPS my PLS panel is alot nicer, its smoother, and gives alot better colour reproduction. However this could just be slight problems with calibration and...

    Need ideas

It probably wouldn't be to hard to just remove the motherboard and create a plastic piece that has standoffs screwed into it hold the motherboard. Just got to find a way to cool the hardware. Doesn't Sound to hard: 1. Remove Components 2. Find some thick plastic/acrylic panel that you can trace...

Coming over from laptop gaming, need advice!

Just find a design you like, as long as its IPS and is in a price range you like, go for it! The difference between IPS Panels themselves in the same price range most likely wont differ that much, just find a monitor design you like thats in a price range your willing to pay and go for it. Get...
