How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

I mean plain NB voltage. My mobo doesn't even have CPU NB voltage control ( only separate for CPU and NB), I guess different architectures :)

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Elbubi - soundood's advice is sound, he knows what he's saying. Also I think that the second graphic card you've added to your setup might be putting more strain on your mobo's northbridge. If all else fails, try increasing NB voltage to 1.3 or 1.35V.

Also there are some developers drivers 260.93 available :)

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

It's ok, it's a minor nuisance for me. I'm only worried that with a new driver release NVIDIA will think of some new way to block the SLI for us...I hope you'll have the will power to continue this cat & mouse game :) Anyway you guys, the whole team, ROCK! :rockout:

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

I finally installed Windows 7 64 bit and tried 0.9b SLI patch with 260.63 drivers. The behaviour was quite different than with my default Windows 7 32 bit installation! For once I got the same APC_INDEX_MISMATCH BSOD but this time it happened only once, when I clicked to enable SLi in Nvidia...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

OK, you guys spend so much time giving the community the patches, I guess I can move my arse and spend some time installing Windows ;). I'll get a spare hdd from my mate this weekend and will install windows 7 64 bit to check if it has the same issues with 260.63, just give me 1 or 2 days to...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

It doesn't seem that anyone else is having same issue, so I'm guessing my case is unique ;). I haven't tried other OSes cause I've got only 1 PC and I'm too lazy to set up another partition and go through the whole process of installing windows. Since my windows is 7 32 bit, perhaps this...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

AFAIK it's updated, all the available updates have been downloaded and installed via Windows Update, unless you ment something else? It is an odd issue, perhaps some rare incompatibility case between my PC, patch 0.9b and 260.63 driver :D. I'd rather keep 260 driver over 258 because of the...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Nope, 258.96 is rock solid. It only happens with 260.63. If I turn my pc off and then on - Windows boots normal. If I disable SLi in control panel before rebooting, Windows will also boot ok. Here's the picture of the BSOD, it's slightly moved but should be still readable:

I'll try to take a photo of the BSOD and will report later. The driver is 260.63

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Ok, I booted successfully with SLI enabled, played a game, then rebooted and went to BIOS, loaded defaults (only option I could find, no optimised defaults), saved and exited BIOS - Windows booted up normally. So I played a game and rebooted again, this time without entering BIOS - BSOD upon...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Allright, after doing some testing, here's what I concluded: No/Uninstalled SLI 0.9b - no problems with booting. SLI 0.9b with forceware 260.63, SLI disabled in Nvidia Control Panel - no problems with booting. SLI 0.9b with forceware 260.63, SLI enabled in Nvidia Control Panel - no problems...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

The BIOS is not the newest, it's 2201 version. I don't want to update it to later vesion (2401, I think) coz it's been modded by Ket from xtremesystems.org. Also I don't want to reinstall windows since I've got lots of software installed and it would be quite the hassle. This issue didn't happen...

How To: Enable SLI on pre-i7/i5 hardware

Hmm, I've just discovered a peculiar issue which I'm able to reproduce every time! When doing a soft-restart of my system, every other boot the windows will start very slow, the graphic card will lose the signal for a brief time and upon reaching desktop I'll get a APC_Index_Mismatch BSOD! Every...
