    AMD Radeon R9 290X 4 GB

I just scroll through the review pretty quickly and already I'm convinced this is the best of the best card I've seen. I remember Titan was really fantastic but the problem with that card is the enormous price tag. Now, we have a faster card at half price!! The ATI boys have done it...

    VTX3D HD 7870 Black Edition 2 GB

Looking at the clock profile, the voltage looks very high especially on blu-ray mode. 1.2 volt! And 1.29 on gaming??? The first thing you can do to reduce the enormous heat and power consumption would be to reduce the voltage. Anyone tried to manually rewrite these profiles so they are more...

Sony PlayStation 4 "Orbis" Kits Shipping to Developers, Powered by AMD A10 APU

Sounds to me like a very average hardware specs. This is so un-playstation like. All past Playstation hardware were always ahead of its time at launch. It took PC a couple of years to catch up PS3. PS4 looks more like a cost-cutting exercise.

ColorFire Radeon HD 7870 XStorm Graphics Card Detailed

Despite a VRM design that's fit to condition power for the HD 7970 GHz Edition (or jump-start an SUV), LOL :rockout:

Colorful Unveils Fanless GeForce GTX 680 Graphics Card

It definitely looks heavy but they should make it as light as possible with fins similar to air-con fins or car radiator fins. Although that would mean it is as sharp as razor. lighter = better since there will be less heat energy accumulated on heatsink.

First Commercial IBM Hot-Water Cooled Supercomputer to Consume 40% Less Energy

Thats what I usually do at home. Just power up my water cooled silent PC and game on it. The room will slowly warm up.

    *** F@H Tech Assistance Thread ***

I've tried both v2 and v7. In the v2, I can't get it to work on the GTX580 and somehow it seems to be idle on the 2700K CPU as well. in the v7, I don't know how to configure it. I suppose I could spend lots of time figuring it out but I don't have the time to do it. Anyone can link me to a...

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690 Launched

Very happy to see Nvidia and ATI pushing the boundaries of PC graphics. This time of course is Nvidia leading the way in efficiency. Reminded me of the 4870 underdog win. History is repeating again. I hope Nvidia and ATI continue putting money into GPU business so that we will be less...

Diablo 3 Open Beta Weekend Starts Today

I get the feeling that you feel that torchlight copied diablo. Actually, the original team that made diablo made torchlight. Including the soundtrack writer. This means they copied themselves and made it better. To me, torchlight is the next step and diablo3 is too conservative and backwards.

Diablo 3 Open Beta Weekend Starts Today

Hmm... If u use just one eye and no neck like a frog, then the world is 2d and only one direction to look at things. I prefer to look around and explore, 2d is just too much restriction. I enjoyed Diablo2 and torchlight and many other games. Just because i love dioblo2 does not mean...

Diablo 3 Open Beta Weekend Starts Today

After 2 days of playing Diablo 3. I have to say Runic Game's Torchlight was more refreshing. There are so many annoying things that are conservatively retained from previous Diablos. The item management is one, It does not even sort itself out, it still has a 1 and 2 slot system. The items are...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 Kepler 2 GB

You're right, I just went through Anandtech's review. There was a long detailed explanation comparing Fermi with Kepler architecture. In summary, Kepler remove many of the non-gaming features to make it go fast and efficient. Surprisingly, ATI has gone in the opposite direction with GCN being...
