I think that if we put a ivy bridge processor and a PCI-E 3.0 GPU on intel 1155 motherboard without a PCI-E SW the link between the CPU and the GPU will have a max BW of 32GB/s.

that was on 2nd august 2011. And now you come on 7th september and say that a PCI-E 3.0 SW is needed. WOW, a month later MSI discovered this?

yes, you're right but it doesen't matter, you said it yourself : "By the time I need more BW I'll get a new motherboard, and I'll have a lot better options to choose from by then, new chipsets"
Let's wait and see what happens :P. It's better to wait until bulldozer and sandy bridge-e are released and forget about future proof motherboards :confused:
So, explain me something. Gigabyte made that affirmation before final PCI-e 3.0 adjustments and before having a ivy bridge processor or a pci-e 3.0 GPU? right? Then why attack them?
