Yes it will work.. i have a nforce 4 and i have a 7900Gt ko superclocked : ) but the 7950 is pretty much a waste of money.. look at the specs on the superclocked.. my core is 580 the 7950 is like 570 and my memory is 1580 and the 7950 is 1570.. so.. just a way to save 300 dolloars!

the AMD 3500+ is very nice it will handle most... but if you had the extra few bucks i would go with the 3700+ sandiago

I had the same card.. not the same problem but i think i can help you out! Get into ati tool and set the fan speeds high.. idk around 70 or higher whatever but most ati cards stock the fans are set to only like 15% or maybe even 5% so i would check that out!!
