Dell XPS are quality laptops but the question to the OP should be does it fit the budget, it is little bit more expensive then laptops linked by OP in this thread.

Either laptop are OK, but I would go for Acer.

I would go with ASUS ROG or MSI. But since I have researched a lot lately for gaming laptops I have found that Gigabyte P57W is also a good laptop, with good motherboards and cooling. You should look into Gigabyte laptops maybe with gtx 980m and see does it fit your budget or needs for that...
