So im trying to do some C using Dev C++ i can compile everything fine but when I run the program for instance hello world the screen with my results will only flash for like half a second. Any thoughts?

so i reapplied thermal paste and re-secured the heatsink but it seems like it got worse becaus before it would boot a little but now it just turms on for like a second then turns off

So i've had my rig for about 2 and 1/2 months now and i have no idea why my i7 920 idles soo hot. On stock speeds no overclock it idles at 41C-45C my cpu cooler is a coolermaster hyper n520. any thoughts?
