    CPU testing and win 11?

Idk about that sol, I mean id hazard a guess that the real majority of gamers, and consumers are on older machines already running 10. Everyone I know that has bought a new system recently did it just to get a graphics card and soon sold the system with their old GPU inside xD As for finishing...

    CPU testing and win 11?

Tbh I was wondering what @W1zzard was thinking of doing with the future CPU benchmark marks while win 11 shows such discrepancies compared to win 10. Are you going to rerun them all everytime 11 gets an update or keep using 10 while ms finishes patching 11? I also wonder what everyone else...

Global Warming & Climate Change Discussion

that's it. climate change is what is behind the extreme weather conditions we have been seeing. back to back records with shit like the longest drought known to man in an area followed by the most rain fail then swinging back. it is not just global "warming" and people need to unlearn that way...

PSA: AMD's Graphics Driver will Eat One CPU Core when No Radeon Installed

insult? as a lazy coder i would say it's an accurate statement :D i only learned how to code so i could be lazy and not have to do things repeatedly like :D

PSA: AMD's Graphics Driver will Eat One CPU Core when No Radeon Installed

so the take away from this are; 1. coders are lazy and, 2. remove software for hardware no longer in the system. in other news, the sky is blue, grass is green and rain is wet  before the flames start, i think amd not doing their job is just as bad as leaving software on your system for...

RAM unstable after adding in a second pair of same type G.SKILL F4-3200C16D 16GB to 32GB

Could be the imc that needs more juice not the ram. I would test the sets alone and then manually set them to the slackest sets timings and bump the imc volts.

NVIDIA Reportedly Moving Ampere to 7 nm TSMC in 2021

Am I the only 1 thinking NV realise they can be behind on fab process and still hang in the performance and efficiency stakes so they can do that and save BOM? We all know it's all about the bottom line for them so untill they need to spend for the latest fab they won't.

AMD Confirms Ryzen 5000 Series Nomenclature for "Vermeer"

IPC is instructions per cycle. They have about the same IPC these days but intel has more frequency which reduces latency. Monolith chips help here too. That's what gets higher FPS, latency. Back to the topic, worst kept secret in a while this gens naming scheme xD

    My Pc crashes

My money would be psu. Corsair built a great name but have since traded on that rep, the only great thing going for them today is their RMA service.

    Silver MX-4 cure time?

Yeah, as said the heat can help it spread/even out if the mounting pressure is low. Like i said it is only an issue with the thicker stuff but most modern ones are not so thick so not really an issue. I still have loads of MX2 knocking about but i will keep that in mind about 4 next time i'm in...

    Silver MX-4 cure time?

Some of the thicker ones can improve with a few thermal cycles, ICD comes to mind but that's about it. I am not sure about mx4 as i still use 2, 3 was worse so i never tried 4.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Founders Edition Potentially Pictured: 3-slot Behemoth!

nvidia knows that this next year/18 month that pc gaming hardware will take a hit, they always do with the start of a new console cycle. as such they are going to try and cream as much margin off the top as they can.
