IIRC, what it basically does is disable some tests/checks at startup. There were two 'modes' in the GOP. The basic and teh advanced. The basic shaved~2 seconds. The advanced shaved ~2.1 seconds :laugh: I think the review was on en.expreview.com

Ok. I read an article testing the various modes of UEFI GOP. Their conclusion, IIRC, was it shaves about 2 seconds overall.

also, TRIM commands cant be enabled in IDE mode.you need AHCI for that. could this lag be the garbage collection that is working overtime in absence of TRIM?

with a card that is custom made for overclocking on LN2, it would have been better to atleast do the review with air cooled OC first. that would have shown the real potential of the card anyone who is going to buy this card, will definitely be OC'ing it. to give him an idea of the real...
