Looking for small, fast & stylish USB keyring flash drive

Can anyone recommend a USB flash drive that: * is physically small enough not to be in the way, yet has plenty of capacity - minimum 8Gb * has fast transfter rates, for both read and write. 20Mbps or more... filling 8Gb at 10Mbps = zzz. * is stylish and minimalist. I'm so tired of all these...

Samsung Could Deliver 256GB SSD Drives in 2009

Yes, and it's an awefully long time to wait for something we don't have now - 2Tb (2012). If things continue as they have to date then 2Tb will not be nearly enough in four years time. And I really don't subscribe to this evolutional capacity / speed increase; what we need is a revolution...

Samsung Could Deliver 256GB SSD Drives in 2009

"Samsung is trying to double SSD capacity every 12 months"...sorry, but that's crap. According to this logic we would have to wait until 2011 to see a 1Tb SSD drive from Samsung, by which time the market would have moved way on. What we need are cheap drives in large quantities - sure...

Another Marriage Falls Victim to World of Warcraft

How on Earth can you spend that much time on anything? It would literally bore me to death. When BF2 first came out I was really pulled in a could spend a few nights a week playing. If my girlfriend came in I would be annoyed as I was in the middle of a battle etc. But that passed and and I got...

    Copying iTunes between machines

I want to copy an iTunes installation between two machines - or rather I want the new installation to have the same files and playlists as the current one. Short of syncing with an iPod, what files would I need to copy? Many thanks.

    ASUS Releases 1GB 8800GT

Very good. This makes it pretty much certain that there will be a 1Gb GTS version as well, which is great news for those that game at hi-res. I look forward to comparing the 1Gb models of both the GT and the GTS and will buy what is best for my 24" screen in Jan / Feb (probaby the GTS, but it's...

ASUS EN8800GT TOP Series Offers Lower Core Temps

Another announcement for those who swallow the hook blindly. As anyone here knows (I hope!) slapping an aftermarket cooler like Thermalright or Zalman will give you a real drop, not some measly 7 degrees. All these 'clever' people in the marketing teams that write this stuff should really be...

Controlling iTunes (or other media apps) wirelessly

Thanks, but both options are far to expensive. She's got a PC for the forseable future, and we need a remote... The is one model that I know of (www.griffintechnology.com/products/airclickusb) but it can't control the playlist which is a shame...

Controlling iTunes (or other media apps) wirelessly

Nope, I'm afraid it's a pretty basic stereo. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Controlling iTunes (or other media apps) wirelessly

Anyone know if there's a remote for controlling iTunes wirelessly? There are various remotes for iPods and so on, but I can't find anything for iTunes. This will be for my friends computer as she plays everything though iTunes. If it's good I'd like to get another one for myself so that I can...

    Adobe Launches Media Player

...which can easily be disabled, just the Quicktime one. But yes, they are a pain and it's not like we need yet another player. Personally I like WMP with the corporate minimalist skin and the K-Lite pack installed, as this handles pretty much anything I use. And of course VLC :)

Apple Warns Customers not to Unlock Their iPhones

I'm really touched by Apple's concern for their customers which, of course, has nothing to do with trying to segment and milk the market to the last drop. The day I will accept a locked product, e.g. a DVD that's region-coded, an operator-locked mobile, or a processor which I don't overclock...
