Well I updated the BIOS and reinstalled Windows 7 and it hasn't happened since. So I'm not sure what one of those things fixed it. The BIOS was very old and had a handful up updates since.
Okay, this one has me stumped!
I have a customers PC here. It's a custom built (but older) Intel Core 2 Quad with NForce 750 SLi chipset.
He has 3 Hard Drives in total. The 750GB Hitachi that the OS (Windows 7 64bit) is running off. There's a 2nd 3TB Seatage inside the system and a 3rd...
Yeah, you might be right. It looks like there's two different LVDS cables for this notebook. This one even says "HD" on the cable and maybe the other one says "Full HD" or something like that. I'm going to order a new cable and return this LCD panel for the lower resolution one and hope that...
Yeah, I would have just thought the new screen was bad until I put the old one back in and now it only gives a white image. I think the cable got fried I'm just not sure if it's because of the new screen (either being wrong, or bad) or if I somehow damaged it while changing screens. I've just...
So I have a Dell Vostro 3570 15.6" with a cracked screen. The screen was cracked but I could still see the image behind the crack. It had a 1366x769 resolution screen in it that broke. I ordered a 1920x1080 screen thinking the resolution didn't matter since it had the same 40-pin connector...
PS4's wont be out until 2014 IIRC and remember the slim PS2's came out two years before the PS3. The slim PSone actually came out around the same time the PS2 came out IIRC. It was just there as a cheap alternative. Even if the PS4 comes out next year there's nothing wrong with releasing a...
I think it looks ugly compared to the slim model we have now. But whatever, if it's cheaper that's all that matters. It's good for late adopters who haven't got a PS3 yet.
Still though I gotta say... no N? I know its been mentioned. But I just realized the other day that the current slim...
I don't think it's the sudden lack of power but rather the spike that comes with it. Spikes or power surges are more common when the power goes out... or more likely when the power comes back on. That's why some people always say to unplug things during a power outage. It's so that when the...
Oh right 4870 needs two 6-pin PCI-e power connectors. Bit of a power hog. HD4670? I remember when it came out it was the fastest benchmarked GPU that didn't require any external power. They were the best bus powered card at the time IIRC.
3870's are pretty slow compared to a 4870 with GDDR5! I bet you can find a 4870 dirt cheap and they're just as fast as a 5770/6770 when it comes to raw power (they don't have as many newer features though)
The worst part is his tech level is 5/5? That's what pisses me off on there more than anything. I know more than half these clowns and I put a modest 4/5 as of course, not even I know everything! These morons who rate something low because they don't understand it, rant that's it's defective...
I've been building systems with the Z9 plus for the past year and I've been saying for the past year that it is one of the best budget gaming cases. We sell it here in Canada for $59.99 retail and that's for a case with temp sensor/LED display, fan controller, 4x 120mm cooling fans, 4x USB 2.0...
Fixed it. I read this elsewhere and thought it was strange but I gave it a try. This worked for someone else also running 32GB RAM on a similar Gigabyte Z68 mobo. Not the exact same model though so it maybe a problem with many Z68 boards?
Anyway, like I said I'm running a PCI-e video card...
Yeah I tried one stick at a time and it ran great each time. Like I said I tried different clocks, timings and voltages for RAM also. I didn't try any BIOS other than whatever was on the board when I got it, and the latest on there. But the problem has always been there with 2 different BIOS...
