Yeah, he seems to write very thurough reviews. I checked out the one he did for the Palit Sonic edition and that was something he did bring up there. Not sure if he forgot or that it just wasn't an issue. I'll assume the latter based on how extensive his testing is.
The more of these cards I...
Wow, the forum ate my post. Oh well.
I wanted to say thanks for the links, though I'd checked that out already. The Asus seems quieter, but what I still am not sure of is coil whine under load.
Anyone have any nsight on that aspect of either or those two cards?
In the next few weeks, I'll be buying a GTX 580 to get a bit more modern gaming power under the hood.
I'm trying to decide between the MSI GTX 580 Twin Frozr II or the Asus GTX 580 Direct CU Triple slot cards.
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with these cards? Which one is...
I've noticed this for a while now, but never really thought much of it. Eventually though it's gotten to bug me enough that I'd bring it up here and see if anyone else has come across this. If I set my resolution to its native 1920x1200 everything is fine and dandy. If I set it to a non...
Definitely going to get in on this one. I already have Dirt 2, but I can give the extra one away easily enough. Grid for less than 4$ is almost criminally cheap. :)
It goes a bit deeper than that for me. It's the entire sentiment around this DRM scheme that completely turns me off. What Ubisoft is saying is that every one of their customers is a potential thief and that they need to constantly look over their shoulders to make sure that they are not...
My current board is an Asus M3A78 Pro. No X6 support on that. It's also the one that I think is causing most of my video problems.
So I have no choice but to get another board, and I can say it won't be an Asus.
If I could find the spot o enter my system details I'd do that.
(Note...
Heh, well it isn't that far away really.
I was thinking of ordering online, most of the Microbytes I've visited didn't have any of the parts I wanted in stock.
Seems like the two chips have very different strengths.
I'm mostly going to be using it for gaming and video encoding/editing. Wanting to spend about 550 for the mobo and chip. Bought some Corsair XMS3 1600 Mhz ram already so I should be alright there.
On thing I should have mentioned is I'd like to stay away from Asus. I don't care for their...
So this is the choice I need to make. I'm a little bit annoyed with this 780G board right now. It's acting kind of funky...
So I'm trying to decide between the new Phenom II X6 1090T on an 890GX or FX board or an i7 860 on a P55 chipset.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Imagine your mouse pointer on screen, now imagine it 4x bigger. It's particularly annoying in my case because I already use larger cursors, so I end up with a mouse pointer that's even more enormous.
Just tried this and no dice. Still get the giant cursor on either DVI port. I don't get this. Worse is I can't go back to the 10.3b. When I uninstall 10.4 and reboot I immediately end up in restore mode and it reverts back to the 10.4s. I wonder if the 780G chpset is just funky in...
