There seems to be some discrepancy?..;-P Anyway, just j/k, but I thought I should mention it: the RAM was auto-detected by the MSI mobo - that it has 2/3 speed settings - and they're automatically set; I suspect that many/all new(er) RAM will come with such *features* until post-DDR3 drops...

Right, except a ~year later.. It turns out that *most* RAM has to be clocked now; MSI Z68A-G45 motherboard and the built-in OC has the default setting and also recognizes my DDR3 RAM supports 1600MHz and also has an auto-setting for it. Some visible performance improvement.

At Forbes: I don't care any more.. These people are so ridiculous, check out what he's saying (so full of it). I will just buy whatever has the best hardware, for the money.. and whatever's the most compatible with standards. The rest doesn't interest me; read: Apple, proprietary...
