Ok so i decided to build a bare bones comp for my gmom im having some trouble. Im using a mixture of new parts and slightly used parts from my old rig. Now trying to save ALOT of time i threw in my old hd that alreasy had windows xp pro on it. This is where my problem is occurring i fear...

i upgraded my cpu and can now play games at full high specs that i could not play with my old cpu at all

i got my connie running 6600 3.4 ghz on air now, lookin pretty good. temps ranging from 50-52 load and my volts are only set at 1.40 in my mobo.........however cpuz is reading 1.36.......anyone know what the discrepancy might be oh and so far ive only been able to prime it for 1.5...

im getting two diff temps differing by about 5 degrees celsius, anyone know which one is more reliable....coretemp or asus probe

yeah it was the service pack issue....i only have a windows disc without any sps so everything is peachy now....thanks for all the help

I am just building a new rig and inside it i have a 320 gig sata 3.0 harddrive (seagate barracuda perp recording). However, windows is only recognizing it as about 130 gigs. Anyone have any ideas?

whats the deal with the trial version tho? how much does it cost when the trial is up? also are there any compatability issues with games etc on the 2003 OS?

Are there any known differences in performance between xp pro and xp home? I ask this becuz i am missing my xp pro disc but have my home dics ready for my new rig....if there isnt any diff i was just gonna go with the home....im a gamer so in performance i would be referring to like during...
