No I know not even Intel... For those that didn't know ALL Turbo enabled CPUs are limited unlocked. Couple that with the bclk and you can get 800-1000mhz out of a "locked" CPU.

So 106 is reasonable and safe? My CPU has a limited overclock of 4 bins onto the enhanced Turbo Boost cycle. I've already had 400mhz out of it just on bus alone so I can add another 4x106 to that providing it's safe to run that as a bclk.

It's probably the drivers. If I loaded on some ages old Catalysts it would probably fire. But it could also be a Win7 issue? no idea. As you say it doesn't really matter too much :)
