How to power on a computer with a broken power switch?

Well at first I just touched the wires together and it did the same thing, started and then went right off.

How to power on a computer with a broken power switch?

I've even stripped the power switch's cords and twisted the wires together, it still doesn't stay on.

How to power on a computer with a broken power switch?

I got the connection right, system was built from Microcenter last night (except the case). I have two power supplies (630W and 500W) I'm trying and they do the same thing if I short circuit it; it just doesn't stay on. Also, about the reset switch, it's only got one connection and the power...

How to power on a computer with a broken power switch?

I don't have another PC to take the part from. I have tried to short the power pins with a flathead screwdriver but the system doesn't stay on; the power supply will start and it will show lights, but the CPU fan doesn't spin and then it just shuts off. I dunno what to do.

How to power on a computer with a broken power switch?

My power switch broke and I can no longer power the computer on using the button. Is there anything else that I can do to power up my computer without using a power switch? Thanks.

    Gigabyte GA Z68X UD3H-B3 won't POST with i2500k

Got it all out, even the power supply, sitting on the box. It's doing the same thing. I took the heatsink of the CPU and turned it on for about four seconds and the CPU got hot, so I know it's getting power. It's just not getting past that.

    Gigabyte GA Z68X UD3H-B3 won't POST with i2500k

bought a Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with a rebate and it won't post. Everything is plugged in right, heatsink is extremely firm on the CPU, I turn it on and the four colorful lights come on next to the RAM and then nothing ever happens. The lights stay on and the computer just sits there. Anyone...

Asus P8P67 and Core i7 2600, good idea?

Yeah, I'm going to stick with the Asus board and the 2500k. Don't really need to extra kick of the 2600k especially considering the price, plus I wouldn't be overclocking on this board too much anyway. Thanks a lot Crap Daddy, you've really helped me out on deciding on what to get. Take care.

Asus P8P67 and Core i7 2600, good idea?

But still, with something like 4.4GHz, I'll still be very satisfied right? That's my biggest concern because of the money issue. I really don't want to buy the items and then not be as satistied as I want to be, but from what you're telling me I'm pretty sure I will be. And I will...

Asus P8P67 and Core i7 2600, good idea?

So the i5 processors are about the same for games that the i7? I would've never guessed! I figured the price difference had something to do with it, but that makes me feel great because that's going to save me near $100 which is wonderful. What are the chances of overclocking a 2500k...

Asus P8P67 and Core i7 2600, good idea?

Holy crap, I must not have scrolled down enough when I was searching for it. I feel like such a dumbass. So basically if I were to get that Asus motherboard and this 2500k i5, I'd be flying with my 4GB of 1333MHz RAM and GTX 470? I personally don't like the fact that the processor is an...

Asus P8P67 and Core i7 2600, good idea?

Thanks entropy13 for letting me know, I sorta figure that's what it was but I wasn't sure they'd both fit in together. DanishDevil, I would definitely go for the 2500k especially for the price but unfortunately Microcenter doesn't stock those apparently and that's where I'm going to buy the...
