Yeah, yesterday I have installed the VF700-CU on my 9800np (defaults 324/290). Looks realy nice and boostet it a little more: With stock cooling the max. possible overclock without artefacts was at 380/340. With Zalman VF700 at 5V (!!!) the card runs stable at 405/355. Unbelievably.

I do the same, without any probs. What are your clocks in 2D? Frequenzies under 250 Mhz will lock my ATI too. Try a fresh install of ATITool 0.24

An running instance of Samurize makes the cube stuttering too.

Just use the artefact-scanner (find max core) to find the max possible clock speed, and set it back a few Mhz. Do the same with ram. Use this overclocked speeds only while gaming. While on desktop set it back to defaults. Your card wouldn´t burn out to fast. I do this with my 9800np now for one...

My 9800np (Default @ 324/290) runs in desktop-mode at 250/250, and when I use more 3D-power I overclock my card to 378/338 (ca. 15%).

Thanks _xhp_. You´re right. I don´t want to run MBM either, because my motherboard doesn´t support reading temperatures and fans (Dell :( ).

Is it possible to program a plugin for ATI-Tool? I want to read clockspeeds an display them on Desktop. The Log-File-Version only read and display a string, and not the true values, so it can´t be used for grapfic like a tachometer. I have testet this plugin with Systool, and it works great...

I´ve this lagging too, but only if "Samurize" is running. If you have runnig Samurize too, then try to disable it for scanning.

Yes, I´ve seen and have tried this and it seem to work. But my Dell freezes at 3013 Mhz (Default is 2993 Mhz). Maybee my RAM is locking (and I have to make a hard reboot with disconnecting powercord). I´ll try to downclock the cycle-times from ram and see, if overclocking works better...
