    TPU's F@H Team

There's definitely CPU WU's out there. My CPU is currently folding 14328 which is: "Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 main protease in complex with an inhibitor N3 (PDBID: 6lu7) " It's not the first CPU Coronavirus WU I've gotten either.

    VMWare Appliance for F@H

Okay so there's probably a very small audience for this, but I figured I'd post about it anyway. There's a Folding@Home appliance on the VMWare Flings site here: https://flings.vmware.com/vmware-appliance-for-folding-home This is a quick-deploy virtual machine which is pre-configured for...

    TPU's F@H Team

I'm only running a GTX970 and a single 8700k at the moment, but I don't seem to have any issues pulling down WUs. At least not for my GPU anyway. Also - anyone running the VMWare appliances? I have a few dev hosts in work that I might spin up a few VMs on, if it's worth the effort.

    TPU's F@H Team

I'm back folding a wee bit after a (5+ year??) hiatus, but I've been checking in on the TPU team from time to time. Glad to see you guys and gals are still fighting the good fight. :toast:

    Deutsche Telekom Hacked.

Ireland is also affected, to a certain extent. A major ISP here, Eir (Eircom) use Zyxel routers with a ridiculous vulnerability baked into the firmware - TR069 and TR064 isn't restricted to certain IP's so pretty much anyone can get in to any router. Good fun...

    Silent PSU recommendations

Thanks! The platinum would be ideal. Looks like they're difficult to get a hold of in Ireland, unfortunately. Only one e-tailer stocks Seasonic stuff, but not that model unfortunately. Any other recommendations? Thanks again. :)

    Silent PSU recommendations

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a decent PSU but there's so many on the market now and I've been out of the game for a little while. I've been rocking my TX 850 for about five years now so it's definitely time for a change! The most critical thing is that I need a PSU which is super-quiet, if...

    Thermal Pad/Shim recommendations please.

Cool! Thanks for the help. :toast:

    Thermal Pad/Shim recommendations please.

Aye, I figured that much. I did a wee test to see how big the gap is. Definitely less than .5mm between the memory chips and the heatsink. Looks like decent enough contact is made with thermal paste. Would there be any other downside?

    Thermal Pad/Shim recommendations please.

On a side note, is there much of a performance hit from using thermal paste instead of a thermal pad? Thanks again! :)

    Thermal Pad/Shim recommendations please.

Yeah, might as well. I've two of these bad boys to clean up, so I reckon I'll buy four, just in case I need some in the future! ;) Thanks for the help. I reckon these are getting a bit old in the tooth now though, probably time for a long-overdue upgrade!

    Thermal Pad/Shim recommendations please.

1mm seems a bit thick in comparison to what's already on there, I reckon .5 should work okay. Makes sense about the shims though, thanks. The old pads are in pretty bad shape, layered with dust too. One of those 100x15 strips should be enough for one card, I would imagine?

    Thermal Pad/Shim recommendations please.

Hey all! Been a while since I've posted here (been out of the game for a bit) ;) I've got two GTX 285's which are in dire need of some TLC. I've got some nice Antec Formula 7 ready to go on the GPUs, but I need some help with Thermal pads. They're pretty hard to come across in most...
