Nonono its not an issue with ATItool im having its with the actually ATI drivers.. sorry i suppose i was a bit vague lol. ATItool comes up with a warning saying i have overdrive running and that it doesn't run in unison but i WANT to use ATItool rather than overdrive but i cant disable...

Is there anyway to turn Overdrive OFF on a X1800XT? I cant seem to find any way. And there is no reference? Can i just reinstall the drivers or something?

yes... i already sent it back to Asus, they sent it back. As is. To get another card im gonna have to get a new mobo/processor/pci-e, which i cant afford maybe ill try swapping it with my gf's 9800 see if that fixes it...

Ive tried drivercleaner and all that stuff (including formatting my computer and going through deleting everything relating to ATI). Its starting to frustrate me a little.

I'd go the silencer, mainly cause i have the 3, they are easy to install (assuming you have the right cooler for the card) and work really well... overclocking from 400 to 440 core for me :)

if you get a 9800se with a 128bit bus then it will perform subnormal... i.e like a 9500pro... i think thats what he was getting at...?

My card overclocks alright... up from 380/300 to 440/350... with rather tight memory timings. I thought that was good :P

Murphy.... simply get the XT bios you used from this bios collection, use Rabit and change the clock speeds and reflash it ontop of itself. That will fix the atifact problem... and by change i mean reduce. so something like 400/350 or whatever.

Yeah so as the tittle suggests my computer has annoying habbits to lock up half way through a game, doesn't happen any other time, benchmarking, etc. What happens is the computer freazes and the sound just like stutters giving out a continuous stutter. Im fairly sure its not my overclocks cause...
