It's pulling a good core speed/voltage in my opinion but it was the heat issues that makes me think it wasn't a good chip. I can only get 4.8@1.288v now with it delidded, lapped and with a H100i with 4 Corsair SP120's on it in Push/Pull config. Before with my pervious cooler the temperatures...
You managed 1.232v on the stock fan? That's pretty incredible.
I have my chip down to 1.288v @ 4.8GHz now, the chip I received wasn't really a 'good' one.
My 3570k was pulling 4.6ghz @ 1.300v with a max temp of 78. Now with the H100i and SP120 fan set up its 4.8ghz@1.288v (My system specs need updated.)and down to 38-45 on full load. I would highly recommend delidding the chip and changing the thermal compound between the die and the IHS, I seen a...
Mornin' all. Long term lurker here from glorious Belfast.
Using flight controlls in ARMA2 is great, so much handier than using the Kb/Mouse but unless you're doing specific missions packs involving planes it's a bit redundant having those clamped to your desk all the time.

Hey Law,
I gave that a try this morning whilst I was off work. Still no joy with it.
I cranked up the clocks and ran a burn-in test while I monitored the temps and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Perhaps you do?
Thanks.
Haha, this isn't my first build :p
Cheers for the advise guys, I'll get back to you once I quit playing ArmA2 for 5 minutes and get a go at reseating this card and blowing out the ports etc.
Yeah I'm the guy with the 16x problem :P
It's in the top slot, all by itself on the board. I'm even using onboard sound at he moment whilst my card is being RMA'd.
Regarding my little issue, I tried underclocking my CPU and lowering the voltage to give it max stability and ran that test on GPU-Z. I ran it for 15 minutes in both full-screen and in the windowed mode and nothing changed.
Any ideas?
Hey, thanks for the response.
I didn't want to clutter up the nVidia section for such a small query but I shall in future.
I updated my BIOS there last week due to my Video Card hanging on boot and whilst I done that I installed the latest Intel driver package from Guru3D's website. THe...
I've a symilar question, I hope you don't mind if I just ask here.
I have my Gigabyte GTX770 4GB plugged into my 16x PCI-E slot yet in the Nvidia Inspector program its says ''16x PCI-E (@8x PCI-E)''. I'm taking a wild guess that my card is running at 8x?
Any ideas how to rectify this...
