Hey all, I basically need some help managing the export size of MP4 video files. I am using Hitfilm Express.
I have a 1 hour 17 minute mp4 video from a screen recording app. This video is 1316x744 and takes up 570mb. I need to trim the last 25 minutes off, so I opened a new project with those...
Thanks for all the tips!
I did exactly as you recommended actually and tested each RAM stick individually and the first three had multiple errors, more than one hundred. The fourth actually passed the test. So I tried booting with just that one stick an just the C drive connected and it worked...
OK so to test the hardware I started with a memtest since the most frequent BSOD was the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error. The test is 2.5 hours in on its first pass and is still running, but an absurd amount of errors have been found. Hundreds of thousands actually lol. Ill post a picture but its pretty...
Thanks for the replies everyone
So I had to take a few days away from troubleshooting but trying again today I was able to boot (with only the C drive connected) and login and get to my blank desktop. It actually worked for long enough that I was able to copy the BSOD minidump files onto a...
Ok so I booted with just the system drive which magically is the C drive again and that worked except none of my files were there, so i added the D drive back and it booted with all my files so i added the new HDD via SATA 3 (where my old backup drive was) in order to clone it and it booted...
Sorry about the smileys, fixed. And I made a bold one line statement showing the drive letter changes, thanks for the suggestions.
Yes, I realized I screwed up, definitely regretting not just doing it through USB.
EDIT: This is why I couldnt use USB...
Hey all, I'm not sure that this is even a very complex issue I just wanted to see if anyone has a quick solution that I am unaware of. I tried googling but the search terms I need to use are way too vague. My system specs in my profile are up to date so you can check that if needed for...
Hey everyone,
I have a friend who owns a medium sized Bistro and is currently remodeling and wants to install a new speaker system. I want to help him out and save him money but don't know a huge amount about big systems like this. I'll just list the nescessities of the project and then say...
Rtw - Cool good to know because it isn't on that list!
So I'm currently running 6GB successfully and another, hopefully working, stick is on its way. Will update and post a picture of all 4 fancy flashing sticks once it's installed for nostalgia's sake. :)
Thanks for all the advice guys!
Ok so when I tried the new sticks independently before changing any BIOS settings, one stick would make it various distances into booting windows before it blue screened.
Then I tried the other one and it booted up just fine. I can't believe I never tested them independently! :banghead:
So it...
Caring - I don't remember what timing it displayed but will check when I get home. Very Interesting. So it's possible that by having it set to Auto in the BIOS has slowed down my RAM ever since I built the computer? It could have been working faster all the time? I wonder why Auto would fail...
Ferrum, Caring
Thanks! I'll try these 2 recommendations when I get back to the computer later.
I know everything is set to auto for the memory in the BIOS by default and I never felt comfortable playing around with it.
Should I set the voltage/timing to what it says on the sticks? Because...
