Update: Today I installed the Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 5. Card maintains 32-36 degrees normal, ~50-60 load. The only thing I can liken the problems with is the terrible stock cooling unit that comes with this board. slaesche

Even when I set the fan to run at 100% all of the time, it still doesn't push the temperature down. I just installed OCZ thermal paste, and it's running at 62 degrees celsius. Is it possible that the heat reading is incorrect? I felt the back of the board (underside of the card) and it is not...

Hi, I recently purchased a Sapphire x800 gto 256 board. Everything with it is great, except that I get extremely high temperatures on it. AtiTool reports the core temperatures as being between 55-65 on normal load and it goes over 100 on high load. Ambient temperature is around 42 on...

Is it because there are E's there? It has the 480 core, just like the GTO2. What do you mean when you say it should be able to be flashed to an x850 xt pe? Should I just flash it with that bios?

Card: Sapphire x800GTO Piplelines Unlocked: 12 Core: R480 I am interested in knowing if I can get 16 unlocked. Anyone have any ideas?
