new bios? Any word on a new bios past 0403 yet? my net was down for a week, and recently I have not been able to access the ASUS FTP.

I am able to achieve higher memory OC around 1180mhz with bios 401. getting closer to my rated 1200mhz :)

Any word on a new bios release?

Beta Drivers are unstable. I've gone back to 174.74 174.83 was unstable, getting the nv4 dll error.

bios 0308 I am also getting better results and way more stability with bios 0308. Lots of people that flashed their maximus to a rampage are stating 0308 issues. Just prooves that the maximus, and the rampage (x38 and x48) are NOT the same :)

Yes most manufactures are getting rid of their DDR2's but they're not going all cheap and deceptive like crucial is. the new patriot viper extreme series 9600's use micron D9's and they are a wonderful kit, and they're cheap as heck too! If you can't get the old tracers, go patriot.

Double Confirmation Double confirmation. Patriot emailed me back saying that the 9600 viper fins use the same micron chips as the non viper 9600 patriot extreme series. But there has to be a difference, for one the 9600 non viper's are more expensive. So why are the vipers much cheaper...

Results: Updating my bios to 0308 and switching my ram to the white slots has granted me higher ram clocks. Before, while in the blue slots, I couldn't even hit 1134mhz, 472FSB. But now in the white slots, I am at 1164mhz, 485FSB 5:6 ratio. Here are my results:

I am very happy to know that my viper fins use micron d9's, since they are rampage QVL. Now i just gotta wait for ASUS to release newer bos's to fix memory issues :rockout:
