I personally use ATT (ATI Tray Tools) through the Omega drives. Excellent drivers that deliver great performance while supplying easy-to-use utilities for monitoring and overclocking. So if CCC gives you to much hassle, switch over to Omega drivers and give them a try.

If you're really bent on a VIVO card, this is probably your best option, HIS is a great ATI company and the X850 series is extremely powerful, however, the 7600GS will have more features for animation, etc.

Alright, here's one from EVGA, the best company to get Nvidia cards from. Unfortunately, you'll need a second card for video input capabilities (there are no reasonable VIVO cards available).

I would recomend a card from the 7600 series. They're not the most powerful cards around, but they are pretty cheap and will work great for animation/video editing work. I have a friend who uses a 7600GS and he's an independent CAD/animation worker. I'm gonna look up some linkies, brb.

Dell underrates their PSU's, so odds are it can handle it. If you put in a card and it doesn't work though, then its time to upgrade the PSU. Just to save you some money. Power hungry cards will probably require a new PSU (the Ultra edition NVidia cards).

This is another common problem, the supplied modems from the company are crap (plus you have to pay rent on them each month). If a friend has their own modem, try borrowing it and setting it up for a while and see if that helps. Good luck. Edit: If that helps, buy your own modem

Could you tell us what you'll be using this card for? That will help us to recomend a card for you. If you're doing animation/CAD work or video editing, you need a different card than if you're just straight up gaming.
