    Need motherboard recommendations

Thanks for the replies everyone! I'm going to see if I can round up either of these boards. They both seem to have very nice reviews:)

    Need motherboard recommendations

Hi All, Seems my 8800GT is being bottlenecked by my D945GCZ/P4 D820 mb/cpu combo so it's time to find a new mb/cpu. For the processor I'm thinking an E6550 or something similar to that (but it has to be Intel). Reliability and performance are the 2 keys, I don't overclock anything so not...

    PSU Question regarding amperage usage

Ahh ok, so a 550w won't draw more than a 650w on the same setup? I'm looking at getting an 80plus, so that should help also :)

    PSU Question regarding amperage usage

Hi all, Quick question: If I buy a 650W PSU, will it be constantly drawing more amperage than a 550W PSU? Basically I don't want to buy overkill if it's just running up my hydro bill. FOr example: 550W typically has 8A input amps 650W typically has 10A input amps Let me know if this...

Looking for an 80 plus power supply

Thanks for the reply....unfortunately the extremepower line isn't 80plus certified. Their real power line is though, maybe I can track one of those down here in Canada.

Looking for an 80 plus power supply

Hi all - I was checking out the OCZ600GXSSLI for a new PS but not sure if it's 80 plus certified. Figure if I'm forking the money on a new PS might as well be efficient. What do you guys recomment for an 80plus PSU around $100? Thanks in advance:)

    Motherboard and CPU upgrade.

I also see many people going with 650/680i boards as well. Are the P35/X38 boards better than these if there's no intention of SLI?

Is my PC underpowered with new vid card?

Not sure if microatx will fit in my BTX case though:confused: My current plan is to get a new case w/ a 650/680i board & E6550. I'm seeing good things on the EVGA and ASUS 650i boards; I doubt I'll want to SLI in the future at this point so the 8x2 isn't such a concern for me so perhaps I...

Is my PC underpowered with new vid card?

Yup that's my case. Since its a BTX case I don't believe I'll be able to get an ATX mb to fit in there so I'll prolly need a new case. The P5N32 only has the 650i chipset in it so I may look for a 680i one. I don't nelieve it does 1300fsb either. It'd be nice to reuse my case again though but...

Is my PC underpowered with new vid card?

Ya, I think I saw some of this with my Pentium D when gaming. Looks like upgrading is the way to go. I like the E6550 CPU....Already have 3GB of DDR2 667 & would like to keep it. As for MB the P5N32-E looks alright, although if I want to go SLI it cuts the PCI-e bus to 8x when both are on...

Is my PC underpowered with new vid card?

Thank you JrRacinFan, I could game for about 20mins before that. Change of plans.....I've taken back the 2600xt as I've heard lots of bad things about it, and saving for a 3870 or 8800GT now:cool:....what do you guys think is better? I did pick up a 550W PS today but I'm going to exchange...

Is my PC underpowered with new vid card?

PC upgrade help Hi everyone, I'm running an Intel D820 dual core processor with the D945GCZ & a "FSP http://www.fsp-group.com/english/1_product/2_detail.asp?mainid=1&fid=52&proid=142 " 300w PSU. Also have 3GB of 667mhz ram I recently bought an 2600XT w/ 512mb GDDR3 and I've noticed after...
