AMD will never overtake Intel in the CPU market itself....but it's very possible for AMD to overtake Intel in the desktop segment alone. It won't be any time soon.....but it's still a possibility.

Problem is, Apple likes to use patents to hinder innovation/competition...not promote it. Would be quite a bit different if Apple's intention was the contrary of what it's been proven to be.

I just had to replace an Intel motherboard for bent pins in the socket. I'd rather have the pins on the CPU as they're fairly easy to straighten.

The developers are more responsible for the downward trend than Nintendo is. If they put half as much effort into developing an immersive and entertaining gaming experience as they do looking for someone to blame or trying to screw over PC gamers, they'd have more sales.
