ok ill try installing the drive after i trying restoring windows from the installation cd

so just install the hdd and go to administrative tools , computer management , storage , diskmanagement and add the hdd that way?

this PE builder does not have memtest86 on it, and i cant reformat because i have tax info that i NEED from this computer. how would i go about restoring system files from the windows cd? ive tried it through the recovery console by manually copying them and over-writing the originals on C:
