    1GB Retail X2900XTX spotted

This is the 9.5" card... My only concerns are that the flames look kind of dumb.

    Pentium celebrates 14th birthday

My first PC was a '96 IBM Aptiva with a 200 MHz Pent Pro, 32MB RAM, 3.1 GB HDD, CD-ROM (8x ?) and a 4MB ATI Rage Pro 3D Edition. I could Run Diablo II on it. I have had ATI cards in my computers since birth. Rage Pro -> X600 Pro -> X800 GTO/X850 XT P.E. -> X1900 XTX -> R600 :rockout:

    Info on the R600 – it’s big

The HSF/cooler is rumoured to stick off past the end of the PCB in the 9.5" retail versions, if that's any consolation... Personally however, I would rather things get smaller (ie. more efficient) than bigger. If they could keep their cards down to X850 size that would be amazing... My 'old'...

    Info on the R600 – it’s big

Yes, but I cannot stress this enough -- this is NOT how big the card you will buy will be. This is for Dell and friends who attach handles on their cards for their XPS systems and such. So if you buy an XPS with an R600 in the future you will get this cooler/card combo. The Retail X2800...

    Supreme Commander Demo is OUT!

I get zero lag at all... FPS is completely smooth on highest everything except AA (2 x only) at 1280 x 1024. That being said, my rig (even not OC'ed like it is now) is still overkill for this res. I am saving up for a Samsung 245T though, so no worries.:rockout:

EMI asking for offers on their music, sans DRM's

This may be true, but it is mucher harder to convert out of WMA because of its slightly DRM nature.

    Info on the R600 – it’s big

512MB is good for high resolutions like 1920 x 1200 plus some 4k x 4k high-res textures and high AA + AF + HDR... It'll fill up quite nicely then.

Asus Launches Two Widescreen LCD Monitors

Yeah, if your 1920 x 1200 does not have 1:1 pixel mapping then the 1920 x 1080 feed gets stretched...

    R600, RV610, and RV630 details unveiled

WARNING: To all the noobs screaming "OMGz ONLI 64 SHADERZ?! NV HAS 128 LOL! 8600 WILL HAV 64! OMGZ LOL PWNT!" Realize it said 64 vec4 shaders. Vec4 shaders are a more advanced shader design than the design in G80, which uses 128 scalar shaders. Scalar shaders can do one shader operation...

Asus Launches Two Widescreen LCD Monitors

WTF are you talking about? They make 1920x1200 displays for PCs as small as 23"... Please define your reasoning of "TRUEEE/FULLLL/ILUVCAPS"

    pick a card...any card....

The whole higher clocks/more pipes/more memory thing is the whole reason why X1800 GTO software CrossFire was implemented, same for the X1900 GT. It doesn't make sense to run a CFE card that is 30% faster with a GTO card just for the sake of getting CrossFire, the CFE will cripple itself to GTO...

    pick a card...any card....

No. X1800 GTO & X1900 GT have been able to perform software CrossFire for a long time now, with minimal performance loss vs using a true X1x00 XT CFE card. Edit: To make myself more clear, X1800 GTO CF is either X1800 GTO + GTO or GTO + CFE, but the former makes much more sense... Same goes...

PowerColor ATI Radeon X1950 XT Crossfire Problem

I think the only application available for his situation is software CrossFire -- though I am not sure if that is working yet, eventhough ATI mentionned it in one of their latest Catalyst releases...

    Newegg in Europe

Awesome news for you guys overseas... But what about in Canada!? That would be easier to establish, and we get price gouged almost as bad as you guys, suprisingly...
