Microsoft's Next-Gen Xbox for 2028 to Combine AMD Zen 6 and RDNA5 with a Powerful NPU and Cloud Integration

Don't take me as an Apple fan but they really have zero need to make a console. They already have a very solid gaming platform in the form of ipad / iPhone with the Appstore.

Microsoft's Next-Gen Xbox for 2028 to Combine AMD Zen 6 and RDNA5 with a Powerful NPU and Cloud Integration

Kinda misleading article title. The slide refers to a "Strategic Decision" between ARM64 (in-house) vs Zen 6 (AMD). Nothing seems to be set in stone yet... Same with GPU!

Apple Announces Apple Vision Pro AR Spatial Computer

It looks ridiculous. Wake me up when they make a AR/VR set with a front-end as small as a tiny pair of goggles/glasses. Mind you, I said front-end. The hardware can reside on the sides, etc...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with Nearly Half its Power-limit and Undervolting Loses Just 8% Performance

Yawn. Look, 4090 was a necessary beast. Being the top dog serves so many purposes from brand image to corporate valuation. Problem is, low-power designs get reserved for the mobile solutions, whereas desktop is left with power hogs. It's been too many years we don't see a good <75W, cordless...

    Intel Introduces Real-Time Deepfake Detector

Exactly what I thought. Only a matter of time to develop an AI that catches the other AI. May the best AI win! Without a product like this, we're left with our measly human eyes and brain, and we're bound to lose against good deepfake. This kind of "solutions" to our self inflicted problems...

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X Hits 7.25 GHz Under Extreme Cooling, 6.50 GHz All-Core

I will support AMD until they reach 80-90% marketshare and observe what they do with it. We know that about Intel.

TSMC Expected to be Affected by Increased Electricity Costs in Taiwan

Are you providing some essential services at/from your home? If yes, increase your rate. Or, ask for a salary raise if you didn't get a fair one. In case your girlfriend has moved in and you really trust your hand, ask her to start chipping in... Nah, don't ever do that.

AMD Selects Google Cloud to Provide Additional Scale for Chip Design Workloads

It may very well be that this deal was an unwritten clause in Google-AMD deal for chips... No proof but is very plausible...
