Nice review! Amir over at ASR really liked them too (so much so, that they became his daily driver): Here That $4k USD price tag is perfectly understandable for bleeding-edge tech, but guess I'll have to save up for them in the future ... or wait for some slightly "dumbed-down, but cheaper"...

Definitely seems very impressive and competitively priced. I already have an AKG Lyra; otherwise, I'd take this Movo under consideration.

Hmm ... the only "bottleneck" I see that you have is V-Sync (and its frame issues); that can be cured with a nice G-Sync monitor (I'm running a Dell Alienware AW3418DW on my GTX 1080 and couldn't be happier).

My guess would be that dreaded "bling" factor -- especially considering the folks who are livestreaming. Corsair knows their target audience quite well. I've learned a thing or 2 about headphones since getting the Corsair HS1A when it first came out, and am now using a Beyerdynamic Amiron Home...

Just finished the review -- and the wait was well worth it! Thanks to Wizzard and the crew. :) My plan to build a new rig this summer gets all the more interesting now, especially since I live near a Micro Center. Next up on the table -- GTX 1080 Ti, or Vega?

This. A price range between $400-$450 USD would seem to hit a great sweet spot. But asking $600+ for this card, well-engineered as it is? Please. I'd rather continue waiting for custom 290x/GTX 780 Ti (like the EVGA Kingpin). Who does ASUS think they're fooling with the pricing, anyway? Anyone...

Thing is, 1080p is a lot less resolution than 3K -- 3K is more than 2x the pixel count. So take off 60% or more FPS from that benchmark and you'll see that titles like Metro will, indeed, be a slide show at 3K.

For a 3K "gaming laptop", you'd think that the logical move would be to put in 2x GTX 780M in SLI -- get ready to see a slide show in AAA titles like Crysis 3 or Metro: Last Light. :( Below is a link to a very nice direct comparison of mobile --> desktop GPUs, with desktop GPUs in black italics...
